1. The short version

phanda doesn't use cookies, and we don't run analytics, advertising or tracking tools on the website or in the app. The website stores nothing on your device. The app keeps a few small things in your browser so it can keep you signed in and work properly. This page lists every one of them.

This policy covers getphanda.co.za and the phanda app at app-phanda.co.za, operated by PHANDA GROUP (PTY) LTD. It sits alongside our Privacy & POPIA notice, which explains what personal information we collect and why.

2. The website (getphanda.co.za)

The website uses no tracking cookies and no analytics, and it does not save anything in your browser. Page type is loaded from Google Fonts (Archivo, Archivo Black and Space Mono), the same faces as our other pages. That is a font request, not a tracking cookie.

If you join the waitlist, the details you type are sent to our database. That's covered by our Privacy & POPIA notice, not by cookies.

3. The app (app-phanda.co.za)

Instead of cookies, the app uses your browser's local storage and an offline cache. These stay on your device and aren't sent anywhere by themselves. A short notice in the app explains this. Tapping Got it saves that choice as phanda_cookie_ok on this device only, so the notice does not show again. That is not a tracking cookie.

4. Notifications

If you turn on notifications, your browser gives us an address we can send alerts to, such as new quotes, messages and job updates. We store that address so the alerts reach you. If you turn notifications off in your profile, we delete it and your device stops receiving them.

5. Payments

Payments and saved cards are handled on Paystack's secure checkout page. While you're there you're on Paystack's website, and Paystack may set its own cookies under its own policies. phanda never sees or stores your card number. A saved card is charged only after the customer checks the work and marks it done.

6. Why there's no cookie banner

We don't use analytics or advertising cookies and we don't track you across other websites, so there's nothing to switch on or off. Everything above either makes the app work or remembers a choice you made. If we ever add anything beyond that, we'll ask you first and update this page.

7. Clearing it

Logging out of the app removes your login session. To remove everything else, clear the site data for app-phanda.co.za in your browser's settings. If you added phanda to your home screen, deleting it from there does the same. You'll need to log in again afterwards.
